The Mind’s Labyrinth: Outsmart Influence, Outsmart Yourself

The Mind’s Labyrinth: Outsmart Influence, Outsmart Yourself

Usus est Tyrannus - habits rules us! This was taught by the ancient Romans. In the modern, informational world, this is even more evident, especially in the online sphere. What do you search for online, what do you scroll, what do you buy? With the ability to evaluate information and the study of behavioral economics, you will discover how our minds work, why we frequently make quick and often irrational decisions, and how advertisers, marketers, sales professionals, and we ourselves leverage this. Why do we sometimes purchase items we do not need? Why do we fall into the trap of “fake news” and misinformation?!

You will learn about the so-called bounded rationality model, which hinders us from making reasonable decisions, and you will understand why we process subjective information. Within our program, you will study concepts such as bounded rationality, confirmation bias, “nudge” effects, and choice overload. You will learn how to make more rational decisions in a noisy, information-saturated world. Alongside cognitive coursework, the Sabado program’s complex offers ample opportunities for fun, rest, a camp-like environment, social and friendly atmospheres, and engaging adventures.
